URLs and Inline Images ¶
There are several way to insert external references[1] into the text:
- direct URL insertion; if the URL ends in an image extension (".gif", ".jpg" or ".png"), the URL is converted to an image tag.
- bracketed URLs.
- InterWiki links.
- email addresses.
- put a space after the URL.
- use the SixSingleQuotes escaping.
- put the URL into double quotes.
- use the bracketed URL syntax.
For more information on the possible markup, see HelpOnEditing.
